- About Data Communication (Overseas Roaming)

- *Before traveling overseas, please connect to the Rakuten Mobile network in Japan.
- *Before traveling overseas, please authenticate Rakuten Link in Japan. Authentication may not be possible in some overseas roaming areas.
- *Data used for overseas roaming will be consumed from your high-speed data allowance for the overseas roaming area.
- *Connection may not be possible due to local carrier circumstances.
- *Data consumption is counted as "data usage." For details, please check the data usage counting method.
- *If you exhaust your high-speed data allowance in eligible overseas countries and regions, your communication speed in the overseas roaming area will be limited to a maximum of 128kbps. After exceeding this, you can use high-speed communication by purchasing a 1GB data top-up for ¥500 (non-taxable).
- *Communication speeds are "best effort"; actual speeds vary depending on your communication environment and conditions.
- *Outside of the eligible overseas countries and regions, this service is only available when connected to Wi-Fi.

- About International Calls

- *For customers using the iOS version of the Rakuten Link app, if the recipient is not using Rakuten Link, calls will be received on the standard iOS phone app. Please note that incoming call charges will apply when you are overseas.
- *Calls to other company connection services starting with (0570) and some special numbers (188) are excluded from free calls. Please check the list of excluded numbers.
- *When using the Rakuten Link app, calls can only be made and received from eligible overseas countries and regions. For other regions, calls can only be made and received when connected to Wi-Fi.
- *Service areas and terms for international calls and international SMS are subject to change without notice.
- *Depending on the destination country/region, connection may not be possible due to local carrier equipment circumstances.

We may also suspend the use of this service until payment of the charges is confirmed. To resume use, you must settle all outstanding usage fees. If you wish to lift the suspension of service, please contact us at 050-5434-4633. -
