When applying at a shop, please prepare one of the following documents ready and always bring the original. Copying is unacceptable.
When applying online and verifying identity by uploading documents, please prepare one of the following documents and upload the photographed images according to the procedure.

If you have a driver's license or an Individual Number Card, you can use the "AI quick identity verification (eKYC)" that completes identity verification on the spot.
If you're already a customer of Rakuten Bank, Rakuten Securities, or Rakuten Life Insurance, you won't need to submit identity verification documents again when signing up for Rakuten Mobile. Also, choosing eSIM allows for immediate activation and use of the service after your application is complete.
* Having a contract with Rakuten Bank, Rakuten Securities, or Rakuten Life Insurance doesn't guarantee eligibility for "verification through exsiting Rakuten Group documents".
* If we cannot confirm receipt of the non-forwardable email sent to you after your application, your application may be canceled or subject to additional identity verification steps.
You can skip identity verification at the time of application online and verify your identity at home when receiving products. Please prepare one of the following documents ready.
*In the following cases, delivery & identity verification cannot be made.
・When your payment method is Cash on Delivery (COD)
・When the subscriber is under 18 years old
・If you live in some regions excluded or remote islands.
